Pre-primary activity - Fruit and Vegetable Day - August 4,2023

“Learning is not the product of teaching. Learning is the product of the activity of the learner’s.” – John Holt

At Notre Dame Academy, we support practical educational approaches that provide students the chance to experiment with their senses. Our curricular framework views it as essential to incorporate such activities that spark children’s curiosity.

Pre-primary students who participated in fruit and vegetable activities had the chance to use all of their senses in order to fully appreciate nature’s offerings.Additionally, it was enjoyable for these students.

Parent Teacher Meeting - August 5,2023

“ Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.” – Bob Beauprez

The learning process requires participation from parents, instructors, and students at all levels. We make sure that this partnership runs smoothly. The only way to properly perform this work was to be in constant communication. The best time for parents to meet the teachers and learn in-depth details about the academic components of their child’s program is at parent-teacher conferences.

Pre-primary activity - Nightingales - August 11,2023

“ Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” – Plato

A child sings before they can communicate because art is essential to their development. For our little ones, we organized a rhyme recitation and singing competition as part of supporting their effective learning route.

Our kindergarteners actively participated in the event because they saw it as a chance to celebrate and sing their hearts out

Inter-school sports tournament - August 16,2023

Sports in particular are highly valued by our educational institution since we seek to shape pupils holistically as well as intellectually. Maintaining our kids’ physical health and fitness is something we place a lot of focus on.

We encourage and help pupils participate in interschool competitions in order to accomplish this goal. The students took part in the sporting event at Bangalore’s Bethany High School. Our Class III girls team won second place for Inter- school Shuttle Relay 4 x 150 mts.

Primary activity - Language Bridge - August 18,2023

“ Learning another language is not only learning different words for the same things, but learning another ways to think about things.”  Flora Lewis

The goal of Language Bridge was to motivate students to become fluent in their second language. We needed students to understand the advantages of learning a second language rather than only using it for academic objectives.

Hindi, Kannada, and French are taught as second languages at our university. Students used this chance to improve their command of these languages. The appropriate teachers selected the top speakers from each grade level.

Senior Annual Sports Meet- August 19,2023

“ Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life” – Billy Jean King

Notre Dame Academy places a high priority on enhancing our students’ mental and physical health. The best exercise for the same is in fact sports. After a season of intensive and laborious practice sessions, we organized our 10th Senior Annual Sports Meet.

Actively participating in the festivities were students in Classes VI through XII. Each student gave their best effort in this wonderful, organized event.

The competition was planned in accordance with long-standing sports traditions, such as the lighting of the torch, which stands for “the light of spirit, knowledge, and life.”

Mrs. Jayavanthi Shyam, a former basketball player, well-known coach, and recipient of the Ekalavya Award, who took part in a wide range of activities and won numerous awards throughout his active sports career, served as our chief guest. She declared our sports meet open and sanctified the torch to mark the inception of  a zestful day.

Holy Mass, August 25,2023

“Leave your troubles with the Lord, and he will defend you; he never lets honest men be defeated.”- Psalms  55:22

We make an effort to instil in our children  the routine of starting and finishing each day in line with God’s will. The Almighty God’s relationship is given top priority.

This theory serves as the foundation for all of our lectures and exercises. In order to foster a sense of camaraderie among Catholic students, a distinctive liturgy was held. Teachers and students who were grateful and prayed sincerely were present at the spiritual service.
