Fruit and Vegetable Day- Pre-primary activity – August 2
The Fruit and Vegetable Day held at Notre Dame Academy for the Pre-Primary students was a delightful and educational event aimed at promoting healthy eating habits among the youngest members of our school community. The day was filled with vibrant activities that introduced the children to the importance of including fruits and vegetables in their daily diet. The event began with an interactive session where teachers explained the nutritional benefits of various fruits and vegetables through stories, songs, and visual aids. The little ones were excited to learn about different types of produce, their colours, shapes, and how they help in keeping our bodies strong and healthy.
The highlight of the day was a hands-on activity where the students were encouraged to make simple fruit salads and vegetable snacks, guided by their teachers. The event concluded with a tasting session, where the children happily sampled the healthy treats, they had prepared. The Fruit and Vegetable Day was a huge success, leaving the young students with a greater appreciation for healthy eating and a memorable experience that combined learning with fun.
Sophia MUN – August 8-10
Notre Dame Academy proudly participated in the Sophia Model United Nations – a three-day event held on August 8-10,2024 that brought together young minds from various schools to engage in stimulating discussions and debates on global issues. Our students showcased their diplomatic skills, critical thinking, and in-depth understanding of complex topics, making a strong impression in this prestigious competition. Among the participants, Nikhil Kumar and Avyukta Karthik stood out for their exceptional performances in their respective committees.
Nikhil Kumar earned the award for Commendable Delegate for his outstanding performance in the Continuous Crisis Committee. His ability to think on his feet, negotiate effectively, and contribute to the evolving crisis scenarios set him apart from his peers. Avyukta Karthik, a member of the All-India Political Party committee, received a Special Mention for his insightful contributions and articulate representation of his assigned political stance. Both students demonstrated a profound grasp of their roles, coupled with confidence and eloquence that resonated with the judges and their fellow delegates. Their achievements are a testament to the high calibre of talent and preparation at Notre Dame Academy, further establishing our school’s reputation in the academic and co-curricular spheres.

KISA Brain Buzz – August 9
“Competition is the best form of motivation” – Cordae
The KISA Brain Buzz activity for Classes 3-5, held at St. Patrick’s Academy, was an intellectually stimulating and fun-filled event that aimed to challenge the young minds of the participating students. The day was designed to test the students’ knowledge, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills through a series of engaging quizzes, puzzles, and interactive activities. The event brought together students from 61 schools, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and collaborative learning. Our students stood out for their remarkable performance and they bagged prizes for the same.
Each round of the competition was met with excitement, as the students demonstrated their ability to think on their feet and work collaboratively in teams. The event culminated in an awards ceremony, where the students were recognized for their outstanding efforts with medals and certificates. The KISA Brain Buzz was not only an opportunity for students to showcase their academic talents but also a memorable day that emphasized the joy of learning and the importance of intellectual curiosity.
Tri-colour Food Day – Pre-primary activity – August 12
The Tri-Colour Food Day held at Notre Dame Academy for the Junior 1 students was a vibrant celebration of both culinary creativity and national pride. The event was designed to instil a sense of patriotism in the young students while also teaching them about the importance of nutrition. The day revolved around the theme of the Indian national flag, with the children and their teachers preparing and sharing dishes that represented the saffron, white, and green colours of the tricolour. The Tri-Colour Food Day was a resounding success, not only fostering a sense of national pride among the students but also encouraging them to appreciate the value of healthy, colourful food choices.


Independence Day Celebration – August 15
The Independence Day celebration at Notre Dame Academy was a grand event, filled with patriotism and pride. The assembly, meticulously prepared and presented by the students of Class 10 and 12, was a beautiful portrayal of India’s rich cultural heritage. The program began with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the singing of the national anthem, which resonated in the hearts of everyone present. The students showcased a series of performances, including traditional dances, songs, and a skit, all of which highlighted the diversity and unity of India. Each act was carefully chosen to represent the different facets of India’s history, culture, and struggle for freedom, leaving the audience with a deep sense of respect and admiration for the country.
The highlight of the assembly was a powerful enactment of key moments from India’s freedom struggle, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our forefathers. Through this, the students not only paid tribute to the national heroes but also instilled a sense of responsibility among the audience to uphold the values of freedom and democracy. The assembly concluded with a speech by the school principal, who emphasized the importance of remembering our roots and working towards a better future for our nation. The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of independence, inspiring everyone to contribute towards the progress of our country with renewed vigour and dedication.
Felicitation of ICSE & ISC Toppers -2023-24 - August 15
The felicitation ceremony for the school toppers of 2023-24 at Notre Dame Academy was a momentous occasion, celebrating the hard work and dedication of our outstanding students. The event was graced by the presence of proud parents, teachers, and the school management, all eager to honour the academic achievements of the toppers. Suraj V of ICSE batch secured 99% and Jewel George Biju of ISC 97.6% respectively. We also had several students who secured centum in individual subjects which definitely stands as a testimony of their hard work ,commitment and sincere prayers of the teachers and management and the unwavering support of their parents.
Each topper was applauded for their perseverance, discipline, and commitment to excellence, which had led them to this remarkable achievement. Each of them is an exemplary role model capable enough to inspire the upcoming batches. The ceremony ended on a high note, with a promise to continue striving for academic excellence and making the school proud in future endeavours.


Senior Musical Concert – August 17
The Senior Musical Concert by the students of Class VI to XII at Notre Dame Academy, titled ‘Annie Meets Oliver’, was a spectacular event that brought together various characters in a unique and heartwarming performance. The students, under the guidance of their talented teachers, put on a show that was a perfect blend of music, drama, and dance. The stage came alive with vibrant sets and costumes, transporting the audience to the world of these iconic musicals. The young performers impressed everyone with their acting skills, powerful vocals, and seamless choreography, showcasing months of hard work and rehearsal. The storyline was creatively adapted to weave together the lives of Annie and Oliver, highlighting themes of hope, resilience, and the search for belonging.
The concert was not just a display of artistic talent but also a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education. Through this home production, the students learned valuable lessons in teamwork, creativity, and stagecraft. The audience, which included proud parents, teachers, and fellow students, was captivated from start to finish, often breaking into applause after each scene. The evening concluded with a standing ovation, as the cast and crew took their final bow, beaming with pride and joy. The success of Annie Meets Oliver will be remembered as one of the most cherished events in Notre Dame Academy’s cultural calendar
Seminar on Financial Literacy - August 21
Notre Dame Academy organized a financial literacy workshop for students of Class 8 and 9, aimed at empowering them with essential money management skills. The interactive session covered fundamental concepts such as budgeting, saving, and the importance of financial planning, all tailored to the students’ level of understanding. Through engaging activities and real-life examples, the workshop helped students grasp the significance of financial responsibility, setting the foundation for their future financial well-being. The initiative was well-received, with students expressing newfound confidence in handling their personal finances.
Sports Accomplishments
The students of Notre Dame Academy have once again demonstrated their exceptional talent in sports, bringing pride to the school with their outstanding accomplishments. We continue to nurture and support its students in both academics and sports, fostering a well-rounded environment where young talents can thrive and achieve greatness.
In an inter-school sports meet held in Bethany High School, Sarjapur on August 9th, the young athletes of Class 3 and below made a remarkable achievement by securing first place in the 4x50m Shuttle Relay. The team not only won the race but also set a new record with an impressive time of 0.32 seconds, showcasing their speed, coordination, and teamwork at such a young age. In the same event Class 5 and below girls secured third place in 4x50m shuttle relay and Class 10 and below boys team secured third place in 4x150m relay.Their victory is a testament to the strong foundation in athletics being cultivated at Notre Dame Academy.
Adding to the school’s sports accolades, Sohan Kumar S, of Class XI competing in the under-17 category, achieved a significant milestone by securing first place in the long jump event at the State Level CISCE Athletic Meet in the U-17 category held on August 17,2024. His outstanding performance not only earned him the top spot but also qualified him for the national-level competition, marking a major step in his athletic career. Sohan’s dedication, rigorous training, and focus have set a high standard for his peers, and his accomplishment is a source of inspiration for the entire school community.
At Khel-Mel Prakriya Sports Fest 2024, held on August 22 & 23,2024 our school team participated for Basketball, Kho-Kho and Football. Though it was friendly match organised with the intent to learn the basic etiquettes of sports, nurture team spirit and indulge in the essence of healthy competition, our students performed their best truly imbibing the spirit of sportshood.
