Gratitude is the attitude at a completion of every occasion. A thanks on our lips and a thanks in our hearts for God’s marvellous blessings on Notre Dame Academy during the academic year 2019-20. As the former academic year slithered away with a mixture of sandwiched feelings of satisfaction and unfulfillment, we have many stories to convey. We, too, gaze at heaven in acknowledgement and whisper words of prayer and blessings for the victims, survivors, and warriors of COVID 19, for we know that there is a time for everything and in God’s time He makes everything good.

LUMIERE, our annual school Magazine, kindles the imagination of our students and the achievements of equal excellence in many areas that complement a child’s full growth.
I appreciate every student who shared the joy of participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. I acknowledge the sincere cooperation and support always available to the school from the management, parents, staff members, students, and well-wishers for this worthwhile journey in education. Each one of us has distinct qualities and abilities.
Cradled in the lap of Notre Dame, swaying from serious thinking to playful inventiveness, students are brimming with zeal for life, empowering themselves with skills and creativity.
I congratulate the management, staff, students and editorial board who used various mediums of expression to present their ideas.
Education is a powerful tool that can be used to make the world a better place to live in even amidst the crisis of COVID 19. The present condition has sailed us to an unknown trail shattering our dreams. The pandemic has enabled us to realise that not always our plans are successful and that they can be executed as we plan. Though Each one of us has dreams, dreams to be successful, Dreams need plans, plans to become reality. Remember, our achievement is correlated with our investment.
According to Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Malcolm X says that: “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” In an era of relentless progress in every sphere of life, Notre Dame Academy strives to set new standards in the field of education by teaching people for life, to love God and all His people, citizenship training, self-reliance, balanced development to form holistic persons and contributing stewards to the globe.
Let us make each year a better one in the lives of each of us and those in need, especially the poor, through prayer, love, honesty, service, dedication, hard work, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, empowerment –by being ripples of positive influence in one another’s lives.
