Notre Dame Day- February 2,2023
“How good is the good God.” – St.Julie Billiart
February 2nd is considered to be an auspicious day in the history of Notre Dame Academy as it is on this very day in 1804 our spiritual foundress, St.Julie Billiart established the Notre Dame de Namur congregation.. At Jamlapur, Bihar, the first Notre Dame school was also founded on February 2nd.
This day serves as a constant reminder of the admirable course we chose to take and the educational values we want to instil in our students.
In order to honour Notre Dame’s founders and inform the students of the significant occurrences throughout the years, this day was observed in a most appealing way. The little ones at our school gave us a real visual treat. Their adorable presentation brightened and joyfully enhanced the day.
Pre-primary activities – February 17,2023
“ Self-expression is the dominant necessity of human nature.”- Dale Carnegie
We encourage individuality in our students’ self-expression. Giving pre-primary pupils, who are in the process of learning a variety of subjects, a suitable speaking platform is essential.
The nursery kids were given a Show-N-Tell activity that allowed them to use their imagination to creatively explain their favourite object.
A “Brain Teaser” exercise was provided for Junior I students. The teachers were astounded by their students’ ease and excitement as they competed in this challenging competition.

Thanksgiving day-February 23,2023
“ The thankful heart opens our eyes to a multitude of blessings that continually surrounds us.”- James E. Faust
The Upper Primary children’ Thanksgiving assembly had the theme “Attitude of Gratitude” as its focus. They expressed grace and a sincere sense of thanks to the Lord Almighty for allowing the Notre Dame family to successfully wrap up yet another vibrant and joyful academic year in their performances, songs, dances, and prayer requests for all the stakeholders in our school. They expressed how frequently our “Request list” grows longer than our “Thank you list” with a meaningful skit.
In a elegant speech, our principal, Sr. Sandhya, exhorted the kids to show gratitude for all the benefits they had experienced this year
Little Chef -February 24,2023
“ Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes and cooking .It’s about harnessing imagination, empowerment and creativity.”- Guy Fieri.
Creativity encompasses much more than just literary elements. We usually foster kids in a lively setting that caters to their unique interests. Yet in order to make that possible, we must give them plenty of chances to discover their untapped abilities and desires. Little Chef was created to impart many ideals to our primary school students. They discovered the value of working together, the need for proper nourishment for optimal growth, the joy of sharing, even the enjoyment of completing a task. This endeavour was ultimately successful because the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves while participating in it.
Holy Mass-February 24,2023
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfil his good purpose.” – Philippians 2:19
We tend to begin and end our days in His will, and this is one trait we try to instill in our students. The relationship with God Almighty takes precedence.
Our lessons and activities are always centered on this idea. A mass was held specifically for Catholic students to instill in them the spirit of community. It was a holy ceremony attended by teachers and students who were filled with deep prayers and gratitude.
