Pre-primary – Story telling competition – January 10
Notre Dame Academy hosted a Pre-Primary Storytelling Competition on January 10, 2025, fostering
creativity and confidence among young learners. The event aimed to foster a love for storytelling, enhance
language skills, and build self-expression among the little ones. Dressed in colourful costumes, the tiny tots
narrated tales with enthusiasm, captivating the audience. Judged on clarity, expression, and confidence, the
event was a delightful celebration of storytelling and self-expression. The competition not only nurtured
their storytelling skills but also boosted their confidence in public speaking. It was indeed a delightful
experience, reinforcing the joy of learning through stories!
Creative Flair– January 15
Notre Dame Academy hosted Creative Flair, an exhilarating creative writing competition that celebrated
the art of storytelling and self-expression. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their literary
talent through poetry, short stories, and essays.
The competition aimed to encourage originality, imagination, and linguistic finesse. Participants were given
thought-provoking prompts, challenging them to weave compelling narratives and thought-provoking
reflections. The young writers impressed the judges with their vivid descriptions, unique perspectives, and
emotional depth. Creative Flair not only nurtured a love for writing but also provided a platform for students
to voice their thoughts and ideas, leaving an indelible mark on the literary landscape of the school.
Junior Sports Meet– January 18
The Junior Sports Meet at Notre Dame Academy was a vibrant celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Chaitanya Pudotta, whose inspiring words motivated the young athletes. The meet commenced with the NDA torch, symbolizing the spirit of determination and excellence, carried proudly by the school’s budding sports stars. The day was filled with exciting races and team events, with students showcasing their agility and coordination. Spectacular displays by various classes, including drills, yoga, karate, calisthenics, and rhythmic formations, added to the grandeur of the event. A special highlight was the Parents’ Event, where enthusiastic participation brought smiles and cheers from the audience. The meet concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the outstanding performances and efforts of all participants.

Notre Dame Academy organized a Pre-Primary Brain Teaser Competition on January 20, 2025, fostering
curiosity, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills among its youngest learners. The event aimed to
develop cognitive abilities through engaging activities like puzzles, riddles, and pattern recognition
exercises. The tiny tots participated enthusiastically, showcasing remarkable reasoning skills and quick
thinking. The competition was designed to be both fun and educational, ensuring an interactive learning
experience. Teachers and parents applauded the young participants for their confidence and creativity. The
competition was a resounding success, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic learning.
The pupils students eagerly participated in the many assignments that were given to them in each lesson.
Student Council Elections - January 22
The much-anticipated Student Council Elections for the academic year 2025-26 were held at Notre Dame
Academy with great enthusiasm and democratic spirit. The election process began with nominations,
followed by rigorous campaigning, where candidates presented their vision and plans to their fellow
students.
On the election day, students exercised their right to vote through a fair and transparent voting system. The
entire process was conducted smoothly under the supervision of teachers and the election committee. The
results were announced in a special assembly, where the newly elected student council members were
introduced. Principal Sr. Sandhya congratulated the winners and encouraged them to lead with integrity
and dedication. With a new team in place, the Student Council 2025-26 is set to embark on a journey of
student-led initiatives, fostering unity, discipline, and excellence in Notre Dame Academy.
Republic Day celebration - January 26
The Republic Day Assembly was conducted on January 24, 2025, at Notre Dame Academy with great
enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The day began with a meaningful prayer service offering our sincere
prayers and wishes for our country. A skit showcasing India’s journey towards becoming a republic was
performed, emphasizing the sacrifices of great leaders and the responsibility of every citizen in upholding
democratic values. This was followed by a dance performance that depicted India’s cultural diversity,
celebrating unity in diversity. The school choir presented a melodious patriotic song, setting the tone for
the celebration.
Our Principal, Sr. Sandhya, addressed the gathering, urging students to be responsible citizens and
contribute positively to the nation’s progress. The assembly concluded with reciting National Pledge and
National Anthem leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and responsibility.
The event was a fitting tribute to the spirit of Republic Day, instilling a sense of national pride in all present.
On January 26, the National Flag- Tiranga was hoisted in the school ground, followed by the singing of the
National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with a sense of pride and unity.

Notre Dame Academy resonated with the sweet melodies of our youngest learners during the Pre -primary
Singing Competition held on January 31, 2025. The event provided a platform for our little stars to
showcase their musical talents, confidence, and stage presence. Their enthusiasm and innocent charm
captivated the audience, making the event a delightful experience. The competition was judged on
parameters such as clarity, rhythm, melody, and confidence, and all participants put forth commendable
performances. The event concluded with words of encouragement from the judges, who appreciated the
efforts of the students and teachers in nurturing a love for music from an early age. It was truly a
heartwarming celebration of talent and joy, leaving everyone in the audience with smiles and applause.
Thanksgiving assembly – ICSE & ISC 2025 Batch - January 31
The students of Grades 10 and 12 conducted a heartfelt Thanksgiving Assembly on January 31, expressing
gratitude for the blessings, guidance, and support received throughout their academic journey. The
assembly began with a solemn prayer, followed by an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of
gratitude in shaping one’s character.
The students presented a soulful choir performance, filling the atmosphere with warmth and appreciation.
Personal reflections by graduating students added a sentimental touch, as they shared memories and
expressed deep gratitude for their time at Notre Dame Academy. Our Principal, Sr. Sandhya, addressed the
gathering, commending the students for their sincerity and urging them to carry the spirit of gratitude
