Pre-primary - Drawing and Handwriting Competition – December 6
The Pre-primary section of Notre Dame Academy recently hosted a vibrant drawing and handwriting
competition, designed to foster creativity and fine motor skills in young learners. The event saw enthusiastic
participation from tiny tots who showcased their budding talents with great zeal. Their imaginative use of
colours and creative interpretations brought their ideas to life, filling the room with vibrant artworks.
The handwriting competition focused on nurturing neatness and letter formation. Students were given short
sentences to write, and their efforts reflected their dedication and growing command of the alphabet.
Teachers and judges appreciated the young participants for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to
continue exploring their artistic and writing potential. This competition proved to be a delightful and
enriching experience, fostering confidence and creativity among the youngest members of the Notre Dame
Academy family.
Principal’s Day – December 11
We celebrated Principal’s Day to honour Sr. Sandhya for her outstanding leadership and dedication. The
program began with a prayer service, followed by a cultural showcase of songs, dances, and a heartfelt
play. Teachers and students shared heartfelt speeches, reflecting on Sr. Sandhya’s inspirational journey and
her remarkable contributions to fostering an environment of excellence and holistic education. The words
of gratitude resonated deeply, acknowledging her tireless efforts in nurturing young minds and steering the
school to greater heights. The celebration also includes each class representatives presenting gifts and
bouquets to our dear Sister Principal’s Day was a memorable occasion, reminding us all of the vital role a
principal play in shaping not just an institution but the lives it touches.
Career Counselling Session – December 13
A career counselling session was conducted for the students of Class 9 – 12. The session aimed to guide
students in exploring various career options, understanding their strengths, and making informed decisions
about their future academic and professional paths.
The session was led by Valli Nicholas and Vandana Bijesh from Emote Desk, renowned career counsellors
with extensive experience in mentoring students. The speakers highlighted the importance of aligning one’s
interests and abilities with career choices, discussed emerging fields, and emphasized the need to adapt to
a rapidly changing job market.
Interactive discussions and a Q&A segment allowed students to seek clarity on topics such as stream
selection, competitive exams, and skill development. Additionally, practical advice was provided on time
management, goal setting, and the significance of maintaining a balanced approach to academics and
extracurricular activities.
Students expressed their appreciation for the insightful and motivational session, describing it as a valuable
step toward shaping their aspirations. The school management extended their gratitude to the resource
person for enlightening the students and empowering them to make thoughtful decisions about their future.

Graduation Ceremony – December 18
The Graduation Ceremony for ICSE and ISC 2024-25 batch of Notre Dame Academy was held celebrating
a pivotal moment in the students’ lives. The event began with a prayer service, followed by an inspiring
address from the chief guest a recipient of Padmashree and Kannada Rajyotsava Award Dr. Ramana Rao,
a renowned cardiologist and an inspiring address by our Principal, Sr. Sandhya, emphasizing resilience,
integrity, and service.
Valedictorians shared heartfelt reflections, expressing gratitude to teachers, parents, and peers. Graduation
certificates and awards were presented, recognizing academic excellence and leadership. A vibrant cultural
program added joy to the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with the lighting of the “Flame of Wisdom,” symbolizing the graduates’ readiness
to illuminate the world. It was a memorable event, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of
another.
Christmas celebration - December 19
As always, Christmas was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in our campus. The festivities began
with a prayer service, followed by a heartwarming play and soulful carol singing by the school choir.
Students enjoyed vibrant cultural performances, including dances, skits, and musical acts. The highlight of
the day was the class parties, where students exchanged gifts through Secret Santa, adding excitement and
surprise to the celebrations. A cheerful visit from Santa Claus brought laughter and delight as he distributed
goodies to all. This celebration was also special for the teachers as they also get a chance to have their
enjoyments. The curiosity to find their Secret Santa and the joy of having a group lunch will surely serve
as a sweet reminder of togetherness.
Principal Sr. Sandhya encouraged everyone to embrace the spirit of kindness and sharing. The day ended
on a high note, leaving everyone filled with festive cheer and cherished memories.
Field Trip – ICSE & ISC - December 20
ICSE and ISC students of Notre Dame Academy enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to Wonderla. The day was
packed with thrilling rides, water slides, and adventure activities, offering a refreshing break from
academics. The trip aimed to provide students with a refreshing break while fostering camaraderie and
experiential learning outside the classroom.
Students explored the park in groups, fostering teamwork and time management while creating
unforgettable memories. The trip concluded with a group photo and heartfelt gratitude for an enriching
experience. This excursion exemplified the Academy’s commitment to holistic education, blending
recreation with learning.
